Government of Rajasthan launches COVID-19 Helpline on WhatsApp
Jaipur : The Government of Rajasthan has launched a dedicated State Covid Helpline - +91 1412225624 on WhatsApp. This service will be free-to-use and will act as a central source for accurate, trustworthy and up-to-date information about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
To use the free ‘Rajasthan Govt. Covid Helpline’ on WhatsApp, simply save the number +91 1412225624 in your phone contacts and then text the word ‘Hi’ in a WhatsApp message to get started. This service will be available both in English and Hindi.
The ‘Rajasthan Govt. Covid Helpline’ is an automated ‘chatbot’ service which will allow citizens to get verified answers to questions about Coronavirus from the Government of Rajasthan within 24 hours. To begin with, the service will provide information on topics such as COVID-19 precautions and symptoms, information for health workers, assistance for pregnant women and the latest COVID-19 updates with more options to be included in the future.
Commenting on the partnership with WhatsApp, Ashok Ghelot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan tweeted saying, “The Rajasthan government is launching a WhatsApp chatbot today to help and assist citizens against the Coronavirus pandemic. This is the first comprehensive chatbot for the state and it will provide important as well as state specific information about coronavirus to people and health workers.”

In addition to the MyGov central helpline, similar services have been introduced in several states of India to empower users to find credible information both in English and their specific regional language.
