Jaipur: Hon'ble Minister of State for Women and Child Development (Independent Charge), Mrs. Mamta Bhupesh said in a press conference that as per the budget announcement for the year 2020-21, Honourable Chief Minister, as a PILOT PROJECT in 4 districts Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara and Pratapgarh of the state, total of six thousand rupees will be given to women on the birth of the second child. This amount will be given on fulfilling the conditions laid down in the mother's account at different stages. Also, through the new Women's Policy 2020, continuous monitoring will be done at the state level so that this scheme proves to be a "milestone" for the all-round development of women in the state and not remain just another good scheme on the paper.
Mrs. Mamta Bhupesh said that the State Government is constantly striving to provide better health for women and children.
She told that during the second child, less attention is paid to the health of the mother. With the use of this amount, the mother will be able to take better care of herself and the health of the child. The above 4 districts have been selected to give special attention to these districts because on the nutritional indicators, these districts stand much less than even the average benchmark of Rajasthan.
