Session on "Youth 2.0 - The Future Leadership of Nation" organized by CII-Yi
Jaipur: An integral part of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Young Indian (Yi) Jaipur Chapter held their annual session 2019-2020 in Jaipur. Theme for the annual session was "Youth 2.0 - The Future Leadership of Nation" where the youth was motivated to challenge their leadership to take the nation forward.
While explaining the importance of youth and idea behind the concept of Youth 2.0, Mr. CK Birla, Chairman, CK Birla Group said, “Future belongs to youth and will be shaped by the youth. Now there is time of Youth 2.0 and today’s youth is totally different from the earlier youth. Now the youth is more confident, more fearless and more conscious towards the environment and most importantly they don’t hesitate in questioning age old ideas on traditions.”
Mr. Birla also emphasized on correlation between technology and youth and said youth and technology are two most powerful disruptions. He said, “Technology, Social Media and other advancements are making youth much more intelligent and more exposed and youth knows how to use the technology in a best way. It is our duty preparing and equipping our youth to be future ready, imparting domain knowledge and enabling ecosystem to help them flourish will give rich dividends to our country.”
Urging youth to achieve desired results with time tested principles, Lt. Gen. Alok Kler, PVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command said, "One must have defined aim in life and then will be sub aim for it. Concentration of force on desire area, economy of effort and offensive action along with fact of surprise are essential qualities one shall work on it." He said high state of moral makes the spirit high.
When asked about the preparedness and training objectives, Lt. Gen. Kler said, "If you want to be peaceful you need to retain the capacity of intense violence. If you are prepared and trained enough than only you can be termed peaceful otherwise you will be considered as only harmless. So the thumb rule that you must be trained for strongest deterrent.
Welcoming the august gathering, Mr. Anand Mishra, Chairman, CII Rajasthan & Managing Director, Geetastar Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd. said that it is very important for our leaders to channelize the energy of youth who join work force every year to convert their demographic dividends into huge opportunity for the country and for the time to come.
Addressing the house, Mr. Nitesh Saboo, Chair, Yi Jaipur Chapter & Director Shreya PetroChem Pvt Ltd said, “A blue print for future nation cannot be a random sketch, it has to be great design based on the values, hopes and aspirations of the people of the nation and there are huge expectations from the youth of today because of the power uniquely inherited to them.”
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Nitin Gupta, Director & Head, CII Rajasthan State said that the interactive session was designed to groom the young entrepreneurs and these sessions helped them to understand the current scenario in business world.
Ms. Smita Agarwal, Regional Chair, Yi Northen Region & Director PTC Industries Ltd. presented a vote of thanks and shared that more than 140 young entrepreneurs, students and members took part in this session today.
