7th Edition of Jaipur by Nite kick starts with singing Sensation Darshan Raval
Jaipur: An annual calendar event to promote Art & Culture, Craft, Heritage and Tourism in the state, Jaipur by Nite is back in PinkCity, Jaipur with its 7th Edition. Starting from Friday, the two days gala festival is celebrating Jaipur in all its glory during the night. The first event of the festival was Jaipur by Nite Cultural Eve held at the heritage City Palace of Jaipur. Bollywood singer Darshan Raval was the star attraction of cultural evening.
The gala festival is jointly being organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India; Department of Tourism (DoT), Government of Rajasthan and Young Indians (Yi). The initiative is also being supported by Rajasthan Khadi & Village Industries Board, RUDA and Indian Women Network (IWN).
Singing reality show “Raw Star” fame Darshan Raval left Jaipurites wanting for more as the Singer, Performer and Composer sang Bollywood blockbuster songs like ‘Baarish’, ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha toh Aisa Laga’, ‘Chogada Tara’, ‘Kamariya’, ‘Mujhe Khoone Ke Baad’, ‘Tera Zikar’, ‘Pheli Mohabaat’ etc. and left the audience transfixed with this soulful voice.
The cultural evening began with lamp lighting ceremony where Guests of Honour, Shri Vishvendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism; Dr B D Kalla, Hon’ble Minister for Energy, PHED, Art & Culture, Government of Rajasthan; Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma (Lata), Hon’ble Mayor, Jaipur City; Mr D B Gupta, Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan; Dr. Subodh Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary- Industries; Dr. Bhanwar Lal, Director - Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan; Ms. Sreya Guha, Principal Secretary, Tourism; Mr. Sameer Gupta, Chairman, CII Northern Region & Chairman, Jackson Group; Mr. Ankur Singh Chauhan, Regional Director, CII Northern Region; Mr. Anand Mishra, Chairman, CII Rajasthan; Mr. Nitin Gupta, Director & Head, CII Rajasthan etc. Dignitaries were present for the ceremony.
Among the other guests were Diplomats from Gambia & Belgium along with Ambassador from Solvak Republic. Guests were left spellbound with a mesmerizing performance by the specially abled kids of Disha Foundation who welcomed all the guests with a special performance on ‘Kesariya Balam’ followed by dance on the tunes of ‘Mere Mann Mein Jott Jaga De Sai..’, ‘Piya Rey..’, ‘Jai Ho’ etc. On the occasion, Kaafila Fusion Music Band also performed musical performance on’ Kesari Balam’, Dama Dum Mast Kalander’, ‘Sanu Ik Pal’, ‘Panihari’, ‘Gulabi Aankhein’ etc. and kept audience hooked till end.
The Sarvatobhadro Chowk of City Palace presented a captivating aura on the beats of Nagada with Maestro Nathulal Solanki along with various Rajasthani troupe performances likes Kachhi Ghodi, Bhope Bhopi, Dholwale, Ghoomar dancers, Kaalbelia etc. showcasing best of the state’s culture and folk music. There was an exhibition as well where Ministry of Tourism, Government of India; Rajasthan Khadi and Village Industries Board, Rajasthan Tourism, Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, RUDA etc. all displayed their products & services.
An Exclusive Gala Dinner with prominent dignitaries, diplomats, senior bureaucrats & industrialists across India in which senior corporate leaders from 9 states of Northern Region was also organized in evening.
Prominent industrialists like Mr Mayank Gupta, Chairman, Olympic Zippers; Mr Vinod Sharma, Managing Director, Deki Electronics Ltd. ; Vishesh Chandiok, CEO, Grant Thornton India LLP; & Mr. Manoj Gupta, Director, A R Thermosets Pvt Ltd. etc. also marked their presence in the event.
More than 1000 participants from over 14 states of India- UP, Haryana, J&K; HP; Uttarakhand; Punjab; Delhi, Chandigarh; Jharkhand; Mysore; Vododara; Chennai; Hyderabad; Rajasthan; etc. witnessed the spectacular site at the rich heritage of City Palace during Jaipur by Nite.
