NIAM wins Smart Incubator Award

NIAM Agribusiness Incubator of CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing, Jaipur has been awarded gold category by ISGF (Indian Smart Grid Forum) Innovation Awards 2022. The innovation award was organised under the Smart Incubator category on 4th March at New Delhi in hybrid mode. The award was received physically by Director General, CCS NIAM and Joint Secretary - Agricultural Marketing, Govt of India, Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi Nadendla, IAS and Mr Manoj Agrawal, COO. The award was given to the incubator for playing a strong role in aiding start-up ecosystem and promoting innovation in diverse fields and other allied activities. 

Director and Chairman of CCS NIAM, Dr. Ramesh Mittal stated that National Institute of Agricultural Marketing has proved its achievements by receiving the prestigious award including this international award. It shows overall Pan India contribution towards mentoring good startups. He further congratulated the Team NABI for the overall contribution and dedication to achieve the pillar of success.

The Awards was sponsored by Ministry of Power, GoI; Ministry of Jal Shakti, GoI, NITI Ayog, Ministry of Renewable Energy, GoI, EU, India USAID, and also supported by following international organisations like Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association, Natural Gas Society, Department of Energy, USA, US India Business Council and GIZ, Germany.

Dr. Mittal has mentioned that this is the first time that NIAM Agribusiness Incubator is awarded and recognised by international agencies. Now, till date 150 + startups supported and more than 10 crore rupees has been disbursed to these startups.

NIAM is also mentoring Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, West Bengal, Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner, Rajasthan, National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, Odisha and Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar in the startup ecosystem
