“Wellness Food Festival” starts with a bang
Jaipur: Bringing together health, wellness and food in the most unique way, three days ‘Wellness Food Festival’ has begun with a triumph today at Eco Dera Chandsen Wellness Retreat Resort, Malpura. While the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic has made travel and leisure a distant dream, ‘Wellness Food Festival’ aims to prove to be a breather for the residents of Jaipur by enriching their knowledge and debunking myths related to Ayurveda & Food.
Maintaining all the covid protocols, guests were welcomed at the Wellness Food Festival with traditional ‘Tilak’ and immunity booster drinks and teas like ‘Lemongrass, Ginger, Tulsi and Honey Tea and traditional Bajre Ka Raab’ followed by a folk performance at the stepwell area of the resort. The food spread included ‘Aloo Methi with Rajasthani Twist, Banarasi Mattar Nimona, Bathue ki Kadhi, Green Garlic and Carrot Pickle’ and much more which were an instant hit among the guests.
Speaking about the festival, Hemant Singh Hapawat, Founder, Eco Dera Chandsen Wellness Retreat said, “With Wellness Food Festival we want to promote wellness tourism and sustainable hospitality in the State. COVID-19 has made us all focus on the importance of good health and stronger immunity and food plays a crucial role in this process. Keeping all these factors in mind, we have planned this festival. A specially curated elaborate food menu which includes ‘Traditional Khatyo, Pumpkin Apple Soup, Haldi Mattar ki Sabzi, Channe ka Saag, Aamla Green Chilly Launji, Haare Chaane ka Halwa, Khajoor ki Kheer’ etc is also planned for all our guests and visitors in order to give them the feel of the festival.”

On the first day, in addition to regular activities, guests were seen enjoying and learning various other activities like how to make Chawanprash at home, consultation with AYUSH Phyisician, farm activities, importance of ayurvedic therapies etc.
The three days festival will have many wellness and recreational activities like Village Walk, Folk performance, Camel cart ride, Bicycle ride games etc. Apart from this, the food spread is also designed keeping wellness and health in mind. Another attraction to the festival is an AYUSH physician available at the resort for free consultation for a personal wellness diet plan. Noted Nutritionist and Lifestyle Coach, Dt. Rashi Bhardwaj will be Wellness Guest of the Day on Day 2 of the festival.
