Higher Education Secretary speaks at Team Contree panel discussion
"Everyone can be a teacher to someone.” These were the thoughts of Ms Shuchi Sharma, Secretary, Higher and Technical Education, Rajasthan. She was speaking in an online panel discussion organised by Team Contree on Teachers’ Day.
Two online panel discussions were organized by Team Contree under their new initiative “Contree Crossroads” to discuss the various aspects of the National Education Policy, 2020. Many academic experts, bureaucrats, teachers, students and citizens participated and expressed views during the discussions.
Nausheen Khan of Team Contree said that Contree Crossroads is a platform to discuss, analyse and criticise relevant social issues. Knowledge gained out of the dialogues is compiled and widely disseminated in the general public.
The first panel delved upon the governance measures necessary to achieve the goals espoused in the National Education Policy 2020. IIM Ahmedabad Professor Ankur Sarin shared his experience on Right To Education Act.
In the second panel, the topic of discussion was “Innovation within the Classroom”. Academician Rajiv Ranjan highlighted the various innovative practices which he has encountered during his research on government schools in rural areas.
Team Contree member Mahima Jain told us that there will be similar constructive dialogue on other social issues in the future on Contree Crossroads.
